HO Heavy Oil Nozzle

HO heavy oil nozzle
This is an extension of the commercially available burner nozzle, which is used specifically for the use of heavy fuel oils in the upper permissible viscosity ranges of 5 – 9.5 cst, tested at 430 PSI (30 bar).
The HO nozzle is available with the following spray angles and capacities:
45° from 1.75gph – 45.00gph
60° from 1.75gph – 45.00gph
80° from 2.25gph – 45.00gph
For services over 45.00 Gph delivery time on request.

The nozzles mentioned are available with the spray pattern PL hollow cone.

Technical Data:

The MONARCH nozzle is a mechanical part and is machined with the utmost precision. Therefore it must be treated with great care. With this safety in mind, each nozzle is individually packed in a plastic box at the factory. Open mounted nozzles can collide with each other and cause permanent damage to the nozzle bore.

Never place nozzles on dirty or greasy surfaces!

Filtration:
Each nozzle is protected by its own filter, the fineness of which determines the throughput. Due to its size, however, it cannot ensure the cleaning of heating oils alone. Perfect filtering in front of the burner pump in the intake line must therefore be guaranteed.

Installation and Assembly

  • Drain the oil supply. Check the nozzle holder for leaks. Only hold the new nozzle by the hexagonal part, screw it in by hand and tighten with a nozzle wrench.
  • Before commissioning, the oil pump must be emptied via the bleed screw. This avoids a pressure surge when the pump starts. This pressure surge may cause contamination of the nozzle bore, since dirt is forced through the filter by the pressure peaks that occur.
  • Minimum pressure to achieve good atomization = 7 bar.
  • Check that the electrode spark does not hit the nozzle.
